If the answer is none, you are lucky (and a little unusual). If you are like most of us, the answer is too many, even once is too many. Unless, of course, you have Carbonite. This is one of the best “set it and forget it” services. And cheap! For only $50/year/computer you get your computer continuously backed up. Too simple and too inexpensive not to do it. If you don’t have it, get it!

Teaching online offers multiple ways to increase revenue and essentially even-out the rollercoaster that many of us find ourselves riding between projects. Simply by teaching online and sharing knowledge in new ways you can make more money. Here’s how:
Upsell your current clients
Helping clients train more of their people across any geographic distance provides the added benefit that they can keep their people on the job. Plus, with online instruction, both you and your “students” can interact asynchronously, not at the same time and at your convenience.
Another benefit to your client (and of course, you) is that you save them travel expenses for you (keep in mind these are often pass-through expenses), their employees or both.
Reach new markets
When you offer your expertise through online courses, people and businesses who might not attend a face-to-face seminar or have enough people to hire you for a “custom” speaking engagement, can now engage with you and your services. In this way, you get paid to not only teach them about the topic but to also get to know them. In fact, an online teaching format enables you to get to know your “students” better than you could in a seminar format, webinar or other one-way presentation format. The two-way dialogue that occurs through an online classroom environment sets the foundation for a relationship with prospective clients so they can build trust with you and know who to hire when they have a project in your field.
Building and strengthening relationships with your clients and prospects through online learning develops loyalty while positioning you as the trusted guide by their side. And about that rollercoaster? Use teaching online as a means to generate revenue while you are working on another project or marketing your services.

It took me a while to understand why I’d need or want to make phone calls from my computer. Of course, how else can I get unlimited calling to any U.S. land line or cell phone for about $25/year? Yes, only $25 per YEAR!
Skype-In is now one of my best bets. There are other cool things about Skype (including a free version!), but Skype-In is a steal and international calling rates are cheap too. Does it replace my cell phone? No. But it is a great tool for conducting business when using my computer anyway. I’ve clearly (yes, the reception is crystal) found my calling.
